Privacy

Atlasia is a map of the places you have been. It keeps the things you put in it and very little else. This page says exactly what that means, in the order you are likely to care.

What we store

• Your account — email address, name, username, and a password stored only as a one-way hash. If you signed in with Google we keep the email and name Google gives us, and never your Google password.
• Your map — the countries, cities and places you add, with their coordinates, the dates you say you visited, your notes, and your photographs.
• What you say — comments you write, and who you follow.
• A device token, if you turn notifications on, so Apple can deliver them. Turning notifications off removes it.

What we do not store

We do not track your location. Atlasia never asks for it and never records where you are — the coordinates on your map are the ones attached to places you chose, not to you. There is no advertising, no advertising identifier, and no third-party analytics watching what you do in the app.

Who else sees it

Other people see what you would expect them to see: your profile, the places you pin, their photographs, and your comments. Anyone with a link to a place or a profile can view it. Your email address is never shown to anyone.

Three companies process data on our behalf, and only to make the app work:

• Railway — hosts the servers and the database.
• Resend — sends account emails, such as confirming your address.
• Apple — delivers push notifications to your device.

We do not sell your data, and we do not share it with anyone for advertising. We hand it over to authorities only where the law actually requires it.

Photographs

Photographs you upload are stored on our servers so they can appear on your map and in the reels and cards you make. They stay yours. Removing a photograph deletes the file.

Getting rid of it

Deleting a place, a photograph or a comment removes it. Deleting your account, from Settings in the app, removes the account and everything attached to it — places, cities, photographs, comments, follows and device tokens. It is not a hidden account; the rows are gone. If you would rather we did it, email hello@atlasia.world and we will, and confirm when it is done.

Children

Atlasia is not intended for children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect anything from them. If you believe a child has an account, write to us and we will remove it.

Changes

If this page changes in a way that matters, the date at the top changes with it and we will say so in the app.
